I have a shimano 105 freehub lying around, does anyone know if I would be able to use this on a rear wheel with a campy hub? I have changed shimano freehubs before (when moving from a 7->8 speed setup) but have never attempted this. I ask because I'm looking at some nice campy wheels, but think I probably want a Shimano drivetrain.

For this to work I believe the hubs need to be of the same manufacturer.

Some hubs by Mavic, Fulcrum (Campy's second channel), DT and others are available with either a Shimano or Campy compatible freehub body and these can be interchanged. Shimano and Campy hubs do not accept freehub bodies for each other.
