Hi, just found this forum. I have been commuting on the bike all year for the last 20 years at least, do 15 km one way every working day. Use the MTB in the winter with Nokian studded winter tyres, so far without accidents (in the winter). About 8 km are in mixed traffic, and can be scary. The rest is on bike lane and the only hazard is fellow bikers without lights. The sun rises 09:14 and sets 15:34 this week, so it is very dark when I am out. Usually not too cold, gets down to -15C occasionally, normally +2 to -5C through the winter.
