There is a lot of hype out there about how some vitamins are not worth the price due to our bodies not being able to digest the whole pill properly or what not. I came up on these liquid vitamins http://www.vitaplen.com/vitamin_information/liquid.html . What do you guys think, what do you guys use?

I'd love to find a chewable generic 'one a day' multi vitamin for adults.

Vitamin pills that I have to swallow make me sick.

What do I use?

Vit A, animal fats
Vit B, egg yolks, liver, Kombucha Tea and various other sources
Vit C, fresh vegetables, sauerkraut, raw meat
Vit D, sunlight, cod liver oil, lard
Vit E, unrefined vegetable oils
Vit K, sauerkraut

Sorry I don't buy the sites sales job on the liquid vitamins. Its just the same active ingredients that everyone else uses but with a liquid filler rather than a solid filler. The problem with digestion of vitamins is that your body needs co-factors from real food to absorb the vitamins and a synthetic isolate is always hard to absorb regardless of its form.

I use a liquid vitamin called Liquimax, you can get it at Costo for around 18 dollars (1months supply). I mix it in calcium fortified orange juice with a scoop of whey protien powder. It taste pretty good and is cheap...John

eat a good diet and buy a generic brand multi, i know cvs and safeway braind multi is the same as centrum, i use a gnc multi it works great for me, also geared around a sport type lifestyle, but the vitamins wont help unless you have the nutrition base.

I HAVE to use one with no added iron. The only time I've ever taken a multi with iron, I was so fatigued that the doctor thought I had mono. He tested me for it twice! Then he thought to check my iron levels and they were through the roof! Now that I'm older, I've tried a couple of others with some iron, but usually within a week I'm so tired that I can barely function!

oh i have heard about overdosing on iron, in another site they compared the liquid vitamin vitaplen with other generics. And surprisingly most generics do not have protection against this overdose. What i did like about the reviews is that it shows that aside from vitamins vitaplen has more "nutrition" such as minerals and other ingredients that the major companies dont have. Supposedly, who knows. I will definetly check out the Liquimax.

Interesting ... my iron levels are also naturally high ... which seems to confuse my Drs terribly.

I've actually got an article in front of me right now entitled "What To Do About Hemochromatosis".
