General Cycling Discussion - Great deal on EBAY - wish i was in USA!

Just seen this on EBAY

NEW FUJI TEAM ULTEGRA ROAD BIKE 17lbs medium

Full Ultegra, mean looking machine $995 !!

It is collection only though in USA (Texas, Florida and another ??)

I am in England and that would be very cheap at 1.7$ to the UK pound!!!

the fuji team has always sold for around $1000 on ebay.... yes, very cheap, but not really news!

Keep your coat hanging and welcome to the forums (and ebay). I also get excited about auctions on ebay ocassionally. I've picked up some really swell buys by occasionally looking through the cycle offerings.

On an entirley different subject. Do you ever see any fellow Brits riding Omega bikes? I used to have the hots for Omega frames, don't even know if they are still around anymore.

Not seen or heard of Omega bikes, I am a novice to road biking though so there may be some around that I havent seen, sorry!

Been looking for a bike on Ebay but losing out on the auctions, with the very good UK pound to Dollar exchange rate I am very tempted to buy from USA and ship over, anyone know if this is viable? If so, anyone recommend a good company to buy a biike from that will be reliable to ship etc??

I don't know anything about international shipping. I have purchased items off of ebay from sellers in Europe but I emailed and asked about shipping before I began bidding. I have seen several sellers offering international shipping in the past but I don't know of any currently. There is one seller from The Netherlands (I think) that has in the past offered some very nice European rides. If I come across him in my searches I will try and remember to let you know. Perhaps someone else on the forums is more knowledgable than myself. You can try starting a post about the subject. I know there are plenty of forum members who use ebay.
