Any clydes with a C'dale Six13?

Hey all, Just curious if anyone has or has had a C'dale Six13? (ordered one from LBS...so curious as usual)!

I did a test ride on a 2007 version and was considering heavily along with the CAAD9 and several other bikes. The 2007 Six13 had the same frame dimensions as the CAAD9, but had a couple sections of carbon (top tube and down tube). I actually liked the ride of the CAAD9 better and I just did not think the carbon sections were worth the $400 difference in price. The components were all the same. The 2008 versions have a slight variation, but are very close. Might look at the CAAD9 as well, might save a couple of bucks along the way.

I'm 6'2" and 205 to 210 lbs. I won a Cannondale Six13 6 in a raffle about a month and a half ago. I wanted something a little nicer than the 6, so the LBS that sponsored the raffle gave me a credit for that bike. After test riding all the other Cannondales, I came back to the Six13, but upgraded to the Six13 3 (Team Liquigas colors, compact crankset). I'm still waiting on it...it should be here by July 1st...I hope. BTW, I didn't care for the SystemSix (huge top tube just bugged me...thighs rubbing). I really liked the stiffness of the aluminum rear end of the Six13 with the carbon front. When I really turned on the gas, the power transfer was amazing. No flex. Nice stiff rearend. Once I get the bike, I'll put some good rides in and let you know what I think. Oh, one thing...I'm putting Neuvation Aero3 wheels on it instead of the Aksium Race wheels (going on eBay ASAP). I love Neuvation wheels. Great customer service (best I've ever seen) and the wheels are solid for bigger guys without too much weight....I've been using M28Aeros for about three years.

yeah, it seemed like a great bike with the test ride I grabbed. It's a very ineteresting bike, handled a lot differently then I expected but it was better then I was wanting it to be. I ordered mine as well, is to arive withing a 'few days' as the LBS put it...that was a week or so ago something like that.

Yeah, I think Cannondale had an issue with production. My bike was suppose to be here in three weeks. It's been 7 weeks. The LBS said Cannondale said their was a backorder on the crankset so production had been postponed. The wait is killing me.

Chainzawz, did your bike come in yet? If so, how's it? I'm still waiting. They said it should arrive at the LBS this week. Unfortunately, I'm going out of town tomorrow for a week. Ugh.

Hey all, sorry haven't been keeping taps on this post! O_o

What happened was my LBS told me that they couldn't get one from C'dale.... (who knows)

So instead of running around (since I already had the cervelo soloist on my mind) I have been looking into the Soloist. Will be ordering the frame in a few weeks (doing my own build...not buying stock)!

I picked up my Six13 on Tuesday. It is a Six13 3 with a compact crankset. Team Liquigas colors. Nice upgrade that they give the Liquigas bike is the addition of a Fizik Arione saddle (much better than the standard Selle San Marco Ponza Lux)

Took it for a easy 20 miles the next morning. Love it. It's acceleration is amazing. I had a full carbon bike prior to this one and the difference in acceleration with the aluminum rear triangle is amazing. It is so stiff and so responsive. BTW, I replaced the wheels with Neuvation R28 Aero 4's. Great wheels. I've been riding M28 Aero wheels for the last three years and have found them to be reliable and strong. The only time they had to be trued was when I was taken out by a very playful (and large) pit bull.

I'll get some more miles on the Six13 and post again. Great so far.

I just found this thread during a search, how is your Six13 working for you? I am thinking of getting a road bike and have always loved Cannondales.

I tried to order a 6/13 this week and the shop said that this year's model is sold out at the factory in my size (56-58). The rumor is that the '09 will be an aluminum main triangle with carbon stays. So the opposite of what the bike is at the moment. Very dissapointed. I loved the bike that I tried (a hair too small) from the time I gave it its first push. The acceleration, climbing, cornering and smoothness on the pavement is about the best I"ve ever ridden in a production bike. If you can get one, do it now.

I,ve had my six/13 for 1 1/2 years and have put lots of miles on it. Still love the bike.

The one I tried was an '08. Actually the shop is going to make me a deal on a System 6 frame with 105/Ultegra components after I demo another copy of it. I also tried the CAD9 which was excellent. I like the 6/13 better as it was a little smoother in regard to minute road vibration.
