Foo - Can you scream?

And have you? When? Why?

Like a little girl. Went to the wildlife park with my wife, brother and sister in law. Enjoying the flora and fauna when we were approached by one of the most feared animals in all of Africa. Yes, ladies and gentleman, loping toward the open window of the Suburban was the much feared and loathed giraffe.

The cold blooded killer approached will malice in his eyes and proceeded to assault me with what to my mind was a seven foot oral appendage of death.

I began squealing like a little girl and squirmed to the other side of the car to avoid the wrath of the giraffe and his saliva coated tongue of doom. He stole my cup of Purina Giraffe Chow and loped away to find his next victim.

My wife, brother and sister in law have still not recovered from their laugh wounds.

Now I feel happier. Nicely told.

I had an arachnophobic gf who was like a spider magnet.

metal spiders? creepy. seems that if you squirted them with water they would rust to a stop though, being ferrous and all.

ummm yeah maybe.
I had a spider in my car one time while I was driving at night (so it was hard to see where it went), I brushed it off me twice and it kept finding its way back to me. :twitchy: I was swerving all over the road, freaking out... and ended up pulling off at a rest stop for about a half hour on a search and destroy mission. I won.

Similar story to my old gf, except she freaked out, stopped the car, and traded cars with the stranger behind her who drove the car to her house. And this was in NY City somewhere.

So, you are actually brave Arti, on the scale of spider phobia.

I don't scream, but I get that feeling deep inside like I should, or have...

I was on a trip with a friend to Charleston last summer and was introduced to their jumbo sized arachnids... I didn't mind the alligators, or the other wildlife, but both my friend and I were really creeped out by the spiders.

We toured a couple of plantations in the area, including a couple of nature trails, and it seems like every where we turned one of those banana spiders or golden silk spiders (depending on who you asked, they seem to have two names) was in the middle of their web... those things are the size of my hand, and I have large hands... Their bodies were about the size of my thumb. Because of my fear of spiders, they seemed more like the size of the alligators.

I didn't make any verbal screams, but there were many internal screams that week... yes, there were. There's another one now, just thinking back to last year...

Yes, I can scream. I do it first thing every morning when I wake up at 5:10.
