The problem that I just noticed is that it is designed for the latest generation of Shimano brifters where the rubber hood goes completely over the top and there is a gear indicator, not the earlier generation of levers.

I suspect this mirror will suffer the same fate as all bike mounted mirrors - image shake. I prefer the sunglass mounted versions - no shaking. A mirror on my glasses for training rides is as :fred: as I go.;)

The one thing that I am certain of with the mountain mirrycycle mirror in bar end mounted form is no image shake. That is one mirror that I am willing to shill for anyplace, anytime. I am not so certain however about this mounting location and style. I suppose I'll have to get one to try.

Unfortunately, for some of us with a 7.5 diopter lens and very poor image resolution (extreme distortion) up in the corner, a glasses mounted mirror is unviewable. Putting the mirror down where I can view it through the more centrally located portion of the lens results an a very clear view of....................me.:D

I'm guessing that you guys have discussed mirrors until you can't see straight, but I've found that a helmet-mounted one (this is what I have (http://www.cycleaware.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1&zenid=b8eaadc9d7b9eed4ebe5fa9e446b38d5)) is better than a glasses mounted mirror (which I used for years).

Besides, that company has a great slogan: "There's no looking back."

I noticed today while riding for a while in the drops, that every time I had to look in my Take A look mirror I had to really crank my neck. By the time I got home I was ready to get rid of it and still may.

I'm with maddmaxx - I've got 2 of the Mountain Mirrycles mounted on my trike, and the only time I get image shake is when I'm running over rumble strips. I tried a helmet mounted mirror, but it was always a pain to adjust; when I came back from a ride and the mirror was gone from the mounting arm, I just decided it was time for a bar end mounted mirror instead.

I've been using a pair of the Mountain Mirrycle mirrors for over 10 years without any problem. Their very stable and seldom loosen up. I flip them up after riding before loading the bike in my van, and seldom have a problem where I have to constantly retighten them. I'm very pleased with them, and would highly recommend them. I ride rail-trails so there's no chance of knocking one off on a tree.

I've use helmet mirrors, but they give me headaches. I love to be able to see behind me all the time, but after 30 minutes of using them, bam! terrible headache.

I never thought I would be able to use a take a look mirror but I bought one anyway cause I'm just a curious type I guess. I LOVE it best mirror I have and yeah if you ride in the drops it takes a bit of craning of the neck but I don't ride the drops too much and it really has been a pleasant surprise

I have never seen one of those before. Interesting. I hope this isn't going to start a trend though of attaching more parts directly to me. I'm not ready to be assimilated yet.

I cannot immagine it being steady enough to work. Certainly in the center picture, all he's going to see is his shoulder, at best. - TF

While browsing that website I found a mirror I've been wanting (http://www.ebikestop.com/cycle_aware_view_point_mirror-MI2032.php)to try. A few of the club members have them and they've had nothing but good things to say about them. I imagine it will take awhile to get used to the image being that close to your eye but the convenience of not having it stuck on my helmet, glasses arm or handlebar might be enough to overcome that problem.

I must withdraw my shilling for the Mirrycycle STI mirror. The company has asked for mine back as part of a general recall. It appears that folks are breaking their left STI lever because this mirror can cause too much force to be applied to the mounting location.

It seemed like a good idea but........................

Their bar end mirror is still the best in the business.

I have them on both road bikes, I have given them away as presents - they are by far the best mirror I have tried, no wobble - you don't even know it's there. When I club ride I always get a few comments like "neat mirror - very sleek, where do I get one?"

Trired a mirror earlier in the year and use it on Boreas----If I remember to look at it. Just seems that I am one of those that prefer not to have one on the bike.

I would still vote for a helmet-mounted mirror -- my Cycleaware needs somewhat frequent adjustment, but I really like it.

+1 for the Italian Road Bike Mirror. Works great.
