I want baggy fitting shorts, but elastic around the legs. Trust me, it's for everyone's benefit that I do not wear spandex pants
yep,
kathy at Aero tech has them (they make them) a tad pricey but most likley Good stuff!!!!
I use her top shelf shorts been very happy with the quality.

I have a pair of Fox MTB shorts that consist of a baggy on the outside and road shorts (with elastic leg grips) on the inside.

Yes they do...however, I weigh 320 and prefer the lycra bibs....I really don't care what I look like, my comfort is more important
Also check out Mt. Borah. They carry a line of men's and women's plus sizes...

FWIW, I've worn shorts for years (decades, actually), and finally ordered my first bibs because of the Aerotech discussions on these boards. I'm not going back to shorts.

I have a pair of these (in 4XL) and love them. They're VERY comfortable. Aerotech also sells "cycling underwear" that you can wear under your own baggy shorts. They're lighter weight than your usual cycling shorts, but the pad is a bit less substantial.

I picked up these and wear Foot Locker basketball shorts over them. The padding helps out alot. I would highly suggest a couple of pairs.

My wife has a pair of MTB shorts--I think they area by Trek--that are like what everyone else is describing. Pretty good padding with a mesh type lining. The mesh lining has grippy stuff at the bottom to keep the legs from creeping up. They have floppy nylon type shorts over that. No one knows you are wearing padded, grippy mesh shorts under them.
Another vote for the lycra shorts though. I am learning to care less and less about what other people think of my looks. It's all about me!
