Does anyone know of a carbon Fiber frame manufacturer in the midwest. I live in Illinois and I am looking for someone within a weekend trip's distance that makes carbon fiber frames and/or components.

I am on a design team at my college(Missouri S&T). We are the Human Powered Vehicle Team and We compete in the ASME HPV Challenge which is where we build a bike or trike and race it against other schools. We are trying to look into carbon frame and/or component Manufacture. We'd like to see how it's done, if it's do-able for us, etc...

Thanks,
Joe

Ask the same question here (http://frameforum.org/forum3/index.php).
Frameforum has a few active pro carbon frame builders.

I watched a video made by West System (http://westsystem.com/) resins of them working with a college building a ultra high millage gas powered vehicle. It was made of bicycle components and was basically a HPV without pedals. This video (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/bvpages/vid_vacbag.php). They should be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the response. I'm looking into that stuff right now. West systems is what we use for our ferring and seat and stuff, so maybe we can talk to them too.
