I have found that my speed is greatly diminished when using a trainer. On the road I averaged 19.8 ish last year, and on my trainer I average between 12 -13 mph.:(
Have you experienced this type of thing as well.
...and yes I know the trainer is a very different animal with many variables to consider. :rolleyes:

Yes, I totally agree. I was averaging 16.5 outside maximum and on the indoor trainer I about kill myself to average 14 and that is an average heart rate of 165. I seem to be comfortable around the 13 mph average but I am trying to improve so I have harder and easier days. Hopefully when we hit the road we will both be a little faster.
