Birthday Ride (belated)

Although my birthday was last Thursday, work and weather conspired to prevent me from the obligatory Ride Your Age birthday ride until today. Since my birthday and my sober date are the same, I rode a mile for each, and 10% for good measure. Came in at just over a metric.

Got faked-out by this safety decoy guy. (There were surveyors all over the place. From a distance, I thought this guy was standing in the ditch holding holding that stick thing they use.)

I had a delicious lunch--salami and provolone wrap with mac salad and wedge of watermelon (Ooops. Ate the melon before I remembered to take a picture.)

And topped it off with a root beer float. Mmmmm. Bike fuel!

Speaking of belated rides, this past week-end I rode a 27 mile birthday ride, only 31 years belated.

Nice ride and pics. I admire your ability to consume a root beer float and continue to ride. That much dairy does not agree with me on a bike.
