Foo - I spent some of my Christmas money...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

...and bought a CD-RW DVD combo drive. I mostly wanted the CD burner. I had an external USB burner but it was slooooooooow. It turns out the DVD player is a pretty cool feature, too. I can capture a single frame from a DVD and save it as a graphic file. Here, for example, is a frame I took from the 2001 Tour de France DVD, stage 10.

Nice! But, you should have spent a few bucks more and got yourself a DVD burner. They'er down to about 100USD.

Agreed, I have seen them as low as $60-$70 for 4X models. They burn CDs at respectable speeds as well.

Every time I see that shot, I think of Kivilev and the UCI's new helmet rule.
RIP Andrei.
