anybody know of any websites with particularly good deals? im looking for the replaceable cartridge style, or the throw away kind if they're nice and cheap!
they are mostly all ~$7 per pair, online or in the shop. how much are you looking to pay? whatever amount you save through mail order you pay through shipping charges..

I second just going to the LBS. I just bought Kool Stop replacement pads for my wife's bike for $7.99 a pair at the LBS. Online at Performance they were on sale for $7.99 per pair.
If I was buying a bigger order from Performance it may have been worth it, but by themselves the tax saving was much less than the shipping charge, plus at the LBS I was able to buy and install them on the same day rather than waiting a week or more.
The cartridge pads are easier to replace than the all-in-one units, but have less material so they wear faster. So the best deal is the to go with the all-in-one units. I like Kool-stop.
