She's out of my budget. :(

I'm gonna see if I can wheedle my parents into buying her for me though...

Nice bike, but $200 is too much. Perhaps you can bargain down to your budget.

My budget for bikes is $0 right now

And you're right, $200 is too much. I'd pay up to $150 for this baby, not a cent more. But but...it's my size and my color!

*goes off to see if there's anything I can ebay/pawn*

Pretty soon, GIANT will start making frames like that and claim that the rear end is much more rigid than current frames. It will be known as "Super Compact Geometry" and will come into common use amongst male cyclists. A couple of years later, every bike manufacturer will be convinced that this is the formula to build bikes by and. Soon after, all men will ride bikes that used to be considered girl's bikes.

Oh wait, that's already happened.

My daughter rocks a Peugeot mixte I picked up for her on a $10 eBay steal. Opening was $10 and nobody else bid on a local pickup in RSM. It's a singlespeed now.

A $0 budget can work. The key is something called the "test ride".

/\ Ohh I love that smily!

Since Kuwahara has not shown face around, I cough, cough, would like to step up to the plate.

You know, I’m feeling generous today and like to push my luck a bit so can you tell me how much do you like that bike. :twitchy:

Nekohime has a (teh) bf. She can arrange a boxing show between you and her bf. The show tickets may raise enough cash to get her the bike.

Jeez I’d rather not resort to violence but I’m pretty sure I could trackstand his butt into the ground.

Dude (and the rest) you are too quick to comment but don’t see anyone opening their wallets.

Nekohime, you don’t have to do that sweetpie, nobody should do that.

Hereby I commit myself to get that bike for ya. What I want in return is what you so called bf gets for “free” what’s a bit of love, can you blame me?

Because it’s a bit weird when you don’t really know well a person I’d like to do the whole shebang: dine, movie and what happens after is between consenting adults. Catch my drift?

I take pride of personal hygiene, fit, trim and reasonably good looking, Can you ask for anything else?

Oh I have to admit I have this thingy for chiks that bike, so there’s a huge plus there! :D

AH. Uhm. Ok.

Teh bf doesn't get it for free, btw. He has to feed me y'know. It does not look it, but it takes a whole lot to feed me...

I shall think on it. I really DO want the bike y'know...

OK.

One condition. The movie will be Sex in the City, else no deal. I actually don't really want to watch the movie, I just will find it funny to watch it with a dude.

Glad you’re into retro bikes but even if you liked carbon I’d still do it. You are totally worthy it.

This is going to be fun, can’t wait to meet your lips and hips.. ;)

Nothing's free.

In the long run it might be cheaper to take out a loan at one of those payday loan places.

No, we do not know each other personally, that could never be. See I'm a virtual entity not a real person sitting behind a pc like you. As a matter of fact you should be riding right now!
Go on.

I have a brand new Campy Chorus front derailleur. I'll give you that and a coffee if you'll go on a date with me the next time I race in the LA area. I don't drink the coffee, but I can get a Snapple or something.

Just don't tell Frank.

I have a deep and abiding love for Univegas & the babes who ride them. Just bought an Activa 200 for my wife. Great shape and only twenty dollars. (the bike NOT my wife). The Activa is a few steps down from the Nuovo, but it's still good. Bought a Viva Sport in decent condition for $40.00 last week. I had to promise the guy I wouldn't flip it. Oddly enough, I intend to try to keep my word. It's going to have a 2-speed kickback hub laced up for the pseudo fixie look.

$190.00 seems high. $150.00 still seems a bit steep. I'm in Orange County- I advse you to keep looking.

Is it high? That's about what clean vintage bikes are going for on CL lately. And mixtes are really popular.

It depends...I hope to haggle down to about $100, but $150 is a fair price.

Remember: There are NO experts in used bike prices. If $150.00 is the going rate, so be it. Keep us posted. You won't go wrong with the Univega that's for sure. I still ride my 24 year old one. Bought it new.
