I'm thinking about getting on Amtrak real early, going to Martinez, and getting 15 miles the Carquinez scenic drive. I've been off my bike for three weeks (vacationing in NYC and Ireland) and really want to ride some.
It was pretty bad around Concord and Pittsburg when I was there on Tuesday. In fact, it was worse there than it was here, that day.

Antioch and Pittsburg, just upriver from Martinez were pretty bad today. My eyes burn. I got in 40 and some tennis, but I may just be stupid. You can't see a thing and the sun is lost.

Fixed that for you.
And what is this sun of which you speak?

I live across the water in Benicia from Martinez and literally can see the scenic route from my family room but not today. The Carquinez Strait is obscured quite a bit.
