Hey there..

I have a 2003 Giant NRS 4, and i want to upgrade the manitou six forks (yuk!) to something better. I am looking at Marzocchi MX Comp w/ ETA, MX Pro w/ ETA or RockShox Psylo XC (all 2004 models).

I weigh 155lbs (ish), ride mostly cross country, with a little bit of light downhill action.. nothing too serious. I am having some serious problems deciding which forks to get as my biking buddies are split pretty much down the middle over RS and 'zocchis :/

I am leaning towards the RockShocks, as i can get the '04s pretty damn cheap. My only concern is the quality of RockShox seals.. i ride in quite a sandy area and am a little worried about how the forks will last.

Thanks very much for your advice, if you want any more info ask away!

I would say the MX Pro w/Eta. It is such a great, reliable fork. Also, the ETA is an awesome feature that you'll love when getting up those hills ..

I have a Giant NRS frame, and I have the mx pro /eta and its like night and day over my old fork. I would say that the mx comp /eta would be plenty though. I have the pro because the comp was back ordered and I talked them into giving me a big discount on the pro because they couldnt get the comp at the time. I do hear a lot of good stuff about marzocchi and not a lot of good things about RS, but thats hearsay and probably not helpful.

I've owned several forks from both manuf. and can say I prefer the Marzocchi's hands down over Rock Shox.
