I was doing a short, local ride with my wife a few days ago, and there's a short but fun hill that we get to go down that kind of curves to the left as it drops. "Wow!" my wife exclaimed. "I got up to 35mph!" Since the hill is so short, and my wife doesn't weigh much, that was a pretty good speed, so her aero position must be improving.
I looked down at my comp, and saw a new highest max speed for me:

Of course I didn't go 73.5, or anything close to it, and my wife was too far away for my comp to have picked up signals from both sensors. So I guess my battery must be going south or something.
If I manage to break 100mph this weekend, I'll be sure to post about it.

Next up: drafting Acela Express trains.
Actually, it appears that you went - 73.5 mph. I think you meant new MIN speed.

Not if his previous min speed was -100 mph.
Wow, imagine how surprised he is going to be when he discovers forward motion.

I have exact same computer on my bikes as well. Were either of you wearing a heart rate monitor by chance? I have watched mine latch onto various riding partners' wireless hrm's with similar results. I don't think it's your battery!

Hmmm, that's not a bad idea!

Nope, neither of us. Good info though.

Not me. 58.5 I think, down a really looooooong hill in PA.

The highest I've hit was 82km/hr (you can do your own conversion). It was in the mountains & it was fast & I was a little scared - but going too fast to hit the brakes. I had to keep telling myself to "just relax".

Is that a wirelss computer? I can't stand wireless computers because they are so susceptible to interference. I had one for a short time and I always had to ride on a trail alongside electrified rail tracks. It said I was doing 88.8mph the entire time. Of course that messed up everything else to that used the speed as a calculation, so it was totally worthless.
I bought a wired one from Target for $19 and it's been amazing.

It is in fact a wireless computer. It doesn't mess up that often, so when it does it's mostly humorous.

You've got some work to do to catch my record-breaking ride at Hotter'N Hell last year. I'd been riding for about 3 months before I did the ride, I think I did okay :thumb:

Sweet! I might even need a magnet on every spoke to challenge that max speed!
