Alot of members are always asking which is the best of the susspension manufacturers. Specifically for forks. So I thought I would post a poll where members could take a quick look and see who the favorite is. Also, if you feel like leaving a reason why you picked the manufacturer you did feel free to do so.
If I do not list a manu. it is because I feel they are not worth recomending even if some one is on a budget.

I think that Marz is going to be the leader in this poll, even though Fox might be better forks.
Fox's are so expensive that few people get to try them ..
I'd say it's between Marzocchi and Fox. I've heard more nasty things about Zocchi and almost nothing negative about Fox. The DJ series forks had lots of trouble with crowns breaking loose or even the lowers seperating. So I went with Fox, even though I like both companies and have no negative experience with either.

That thing's so old it would suck next to a Wal-mart fork.

I voted for Marzocchi. I think their "feel" is superior to any other manuf. I DO like Fox products, but their cost is astonomical. Plus, I understand they are STILL having problems with their customer service department being too jammed up to help in a timely manner.

For the average Mountain biker in the UK, there are only two real choices, even though all the manufacturers are here. Fox are expensive, Manitou make a good fork again, but the only ones that are really good enough seem to be the expensive ones. Pace are a UK manufacturer, and although popular, do not have the dealer set up, and then there are the cheapies, RST etc.
The choice is between Rockshox and Marzocchi. Both are good manufacturers, and cover the range from crap to excellent, with the corresponding price to suit. The difference came about when I contacted the importers for information. I tried phoning Rockshox, and 2 weeks later got a dealer to contact them for the information I wanted. Marzocchi were at the end of the phone immediately with all the information, pricing and technical details answered straight away.
All I wanted was to find out the heaviest duty fork for my use that I could afford for my tandem. Both agreed extra heavy weight springs on a heavy duty fork. Marzocchi had the springs in stock. Rockshox would have to order them and it would take 6 weeks. I went marzocchi. Incidentally, over a year later, and Rockshox have still not got the springs in stock for a friend of mine that wanted them.

yeah, rockshox is pretty junky in the tech-support area. I called them twice and asked them the same question, getting different answers both times. Don't know too much about Marzocchi (never even ridden one :( ) but everyone seems to love them.
