My daughter goes to (afterschool activity) three times a week. As you know, there is a strike on going by the grocery workers. (I'm not pro or anti union labor or strike etc.) Her father and mother work at the store, and as a result of the strike they are on strike wages. So, last month they had to cut their tuition to (afterschool activity). I talked with the owner of the (afterschool activity), and we came up with a plan. He agreed to decrease the tuition by 70 dollars a month, I agreed to pay 70 dollars a month to him (aside from my daughters stuff), leaving their cost at about 20 dollars a month. We both agreed to have it presented to them as a "temporary scholarship" so they wouldn't know that someone else was footing the bill.. thus elminating any pride issues. They won't know that I did it, only the owner one other know.
It's not much, but it something. And, the girl returned yesterday, pretty happy.
