I am curious what those that have kept track think about the overall accuracy of the simulator, espicially once your weight is figured in, that your battery is perhaps a year old.

I'm not trying to infer that the simulator is imperfect nor misleading. The author is clear that the values cannot be perfect for every situation.

Feel Free to discuss your light or heavy pedal assistance, load of gear plus rider, hills (though I will be using on almost complete flats), regualar head winds, your use or absence of a wind fairing, etc.

Thanks

It's actually not too far off if your test was conducted solely on a flat surface in ideal conditions.

However, real world has hills, crosswinds, headwinds, rain, gravel, beer belly and fat thighs, etc. There's simply no way to effectively compensate a chart that everyone can use respectively, as all our situations are differant.

What I love most about what he did, is upgrade the known faults in the Crystalyte motor controller to handle higher current. The 5303 can now run with a 48amp controller. Much of the old over-current issues have been resolved. I haven't seen any other sellers upgrade these yet.

It's refreshing! Listen to most manufacturers and resellers and you'll think you can do 50kms up a hill into a gale without pedalling.

The truth is that you can't even when you mostly pedal. I'd wish they would also discuss problems with SLA batteries too, but that won't happen as long as there are people out there wanting make a quick buck.
