Oh man, only my fourth ride on my new e-zip and I got a blowout on the rear tire. I got it home, now I need to figure out how to get the tire off. I don't even know which side to try. Any suggestions?

You'll need to remove the motor first. Give thought to replacing the cheap tire with a good puncture resistant tire. You are about to find out you don't want to change a rear flat tire on the road with this bike. This is the major weakness of this bike. You can't simply undo the the main bolts and remove the tire to replace a tube if it can't be patched.

I had to take a cab home and then take my car to get the bike so I could do this at home. Please tell me about puncture resistant tires!

Puncture resistant tires are just a bit thicker (tubes are too) than normal.

I used to have a BMX bike with a "plastic" band that went between the tire and tube. Great for small glass and thorns, but thats about it.

Walking an E-bike with a flat would ruin my day, the whole day!

Schwable marathon plus and marathon ATB are two of them. There are filled tires too, but an exact match for the rim is crucial for filled tires. The Amerityre is one of them.

The Marathon Plus is just about the pinnacle of puncture resistance from what i've experienced. You can roll over glass and the like without worry. There are other "puncture resistant" tires, which have aramid (kevlar) layers in them, but what makes the Marathon Plus noticeably superior is that it has a thick band which prevents the glass from reaching far into the casing in the first place, rather than simply trying to block it off with a piece of kevlar.

I'll investigate the Marathon Plus, thanks! I managed to get the tire and the tube off today, if I can afford a Marathon, perhaps I'll replace the tire before I go to the trouble of putting the motor back on and all. It was a pain!

Hey, what size are the tires on the e-zip? I know I can look, but the bike is downstairs, I'm upstairs. You guys probably already know.
