Well, sort of. We started our ride in Los Altos today, rode up Old la Honda (I'd like to tell you all that I did my best time ever, but, well, it wasn't), then over to Alpine and down that, up and over Pescadero and down to the town of the same name. At this point, we started feeling a nice off-shore breeze - and fresh air!
We then headed south via Cloverdale/Gazos Creek to the coast. This part wasn't so good - the breeze was still there, but it got real smokey - is there a fire in that area?
We then went up the coast to Tunitas Creek, and climbed that. The breeze was keeping the air nice and fresh the entire way up the coast, and all the way up that hill. It was the best I ever felt on that climb - especially nice since we were more than 70 miles into our ride at that point.
Going down King's Mountain, the air kind of closed in again, and that smokey smell came back. If you're looking for fresh air definitely head towards the coast!
