Hi everyone!

Just ordered my Crystalite BD36 Brushed kit for my Gary Fisher Tassajara.

After doing some research, the installations state that there needs to be at least 3.75" space between the fork for the hub to fit.

Do they mean 3.75" all the way up to the top of the tire or just where the bike axle meets the fork?

Thanks in advance!

Not all the way to the top - just a few inches above dropouts to clear the motor. The top width is all about your tire and should not be a problem. Some folks spread steel forks slightly if needed.
