Dude, just roll with it and see where it goes. Be fair with her, don't jerk her feelings around if you are sure it's going nowhere. But I've often found years down the road that potential with a girl was staring me in the face and I was too young and stupid to realize it - so I mean be sure of it before you crush the girl's heart now that you've set yourself down the path. Just because you like can mean you're still trying to figure out where you're headed. Doesn't mean you wanna marry her and crank out the puppies for the rest of your life.

Depends. Not to make a jab at your age, but 15 is a stupid age. You're (she's) still trying to figure crap out, everything is shy, or awkward, or both. Just take things casual, don't seem too eager, but don't ignore her either. (easy, huh? :p) Try to feel for a response. Could be you seemed to eager (read as "I like you, you shore are purty HURRRRR") or she didn't like that she had to ask you vs. you just reciprocating when she told you that last day. Could be nothing at all, just she got busy or something stupid. Don't read too much until you get more info.

It sounds to me like you got your head on straight, brother. The only girls that go after guys who treat them like crap are the girls who'll give you STDs later. Remain as close to a gentleman as you can without it becoming some kind of cross to bear on one extreme, or totally fake on the other.

15 is too young to be worrying about the implications of going after a girl you don't *really* like, so have fun with it as long as you keep it fair and tidy and you don't feel like it's a total waste of time.

Also, don't think about having kids right now, even in a conceptual way.

Yikes! This is a dangerous idea. If you truly embrace this, you will be very unhappy. The feminist movement has been surprisingly successful in emasculating the American male. Don't buy in. Your happiness is every bit as important as any woman's. Somewhere along the line the definition of "gentleman" got changed to mean a man who rejects everything male about himself. This is a terrible idea which leads men to suppress their "maleness". This suppression leads to dissatisfaction and depression until the point where it explodes in a destructive fit which could very well lead to divorce. If you think slavery to a woman will leave you fulfilled, you are either sadly mistaken or miserable excuse for a man.

You must seek your own fulfillment and you shouldn't settle for any mate who doesn't recognize and encourage this. Of course you must also support and encourage your mate in her personal endeavors unless those endeavors include conquest of your masculinity.

These are issues that a 15 year old shouldn't be thinking about. You should be enjoying the thrill of the chase and not worrying about fulfilling any kind of higher purpose whatsoever, much less any kind of BS about you existing only to serve a woman.

Reading all of this, it saddens me to inform you that things don't really improve into young adulthood. I'm 26 and out in the dating world again...thick skin and a strong stomach will serve you well.

At your age, don't worry about making too many mistakes, they're inevitable. It seems sometimes that the girls you like don't like you back, and the ones you don't can't be fought off with a stick. Even at 15, your feelings are valid and real and don't let anyone convince you that they are insignificant.
