Foo - What I did good in 2004 #3.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I got pulled over for running a red light on the bike. Well, 2 red lights and a stop sign. When I dealt with the officer, I didn't whine about other crime that might be more important, ***** about getting the tickette, or anything else. I accepted that I broke the rules, and was pleasant, and helpful for anything he wanted. Rather than raise a ruckus, I simply accepted the issue, and was cool about it.
What did you do?

I laughed at some dude on a beat-up Bianchi fixie that got pulled over for running reds (even as I ran them myself). I went home and drank half a fifth of Jack and then fell asleep in the foyer. Woke up and started pounding on the door I slept in front of, thinking it was mine and that someone would open it; it was the neighbors. The old man slugged me in the jaw and I fell down the stairs. Found my door. Went inside and ate a piece of toast with lingonberry jelly and milk. Finished the Jack and typed this post.
Feeling pretty good about it all.
It's gonna be a great year

Got up, saw that it was snowing, let the dogs out, made coffee and waited for the Boss to call and let me know I didn't have to come in. He finally did, cool, my wifes birthday is today. So we opened her presents, fixed some bacon and eggs, had more coffee. Shoveled the drive and patio (Promptly started snowing again). Now I am going to build a wheelset for a customer and play a board game.
My good deed was, yesterday, picking up three bags of dog, puppy, and cat food and taking it to the SPCA.

I'm feeling great about slugging some drunk dork who apparenetly slept in front of my door and then started beating on it thinking I was his mommy or daddy and would let him in.
The shmuck fell down the stairs and I don't know what happened to him after that. Maybe he drank himself back to sleep. Jerk.
I looked all over town for some lingonberry jelly, but the only place that carried it sold thier last bottle to some drunk guy - so I had to settle on Habenero jelly that gave me the ****s. I was so depressed I drowned my sorrows in a bottle of Night Train.

I hear ya! I used to do that until I almost got hit by a car that ran the light that I was waiting at.
On my old commute there was an intersection that always had a red light going my direction - it was at 5:30 AM so there were never any cars - the only way I could get it to change was by pushing the pedestrian button. So I started running it - over the course of a year I ran it 4 times right in front of a cop (each time I did not notice him until mid intersection), he never gave me more than a wave - but he gave several of my car driving co-workers speeding tickets. Must have been a cyclist.
