Ok, who else thinks riding in the slush is fun?

I got out for a short ride last night in the slush and muk just for the fun of it. The temp was around 36F and the Chinook winds were gusting to 35MPH.
There is a trail near my new place that runs along the road in the ditch, so I took off and road for nearly 2 hours in the slush and mud.
What a BLAST!

(I'm glad I don't have to commute in that mess, however)

This morning in NJ, the roads are slushy. It was about 25degF and the roads got about .5" of snow. However, with the warmer asphalt, alot of the road was slushy. Other than forming a huge snowball of road grime, snow, and slush on my bottom bracket, the bike to work today was fun, slush is good, once it turns to ice, that's when the real fun starts! ;)

I did enjoy the slop on my ride home today it was more enjoyable then riding in the krackel and sub zero temps last week. I will enjoy it while it last. I'm looking at -25 to -30 below on wednesday thur saturday. :(

I feel your pain, Johnny!

We are forcasted to be above freezing all week! :) We had the pleasure of the sub-zero a week ago. It also happened that it was the week that we were moving into our new place. Whet great timing.

As for the slush... Well.. Most of it is gone now too. We still have some snow around in the yards and such, but the roads are mostly bare and dry now. I must admit, I like the dry roads better. Safety prohibits me from commuting when the roads are snowpacked and icy. (no shoulders at all on 45MPH roads)

It sucks since it makes a mess of the drive train. I perfer to keep the temps around 20 deg. F.

I agree, slush sucks. It's probably only second to cold rain as my least favorite riding condition. Today I was covered in "slushmud" when I got to work, and same when I got home. hmmm, maybe I've come up with another term for the glosery?; "slushmud"

shortened: "slud"? Or perhaps "slushd"?

Pretty slushy here too. We were just about to have a real winter and now this... temps somewhere between 0C and +5C. Fortunately it is supposed to get colder towards the end of the week.
