Road Cycling - Hi Joe, I'm a road cyclist but found the mountain lion story of interest

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Man, this is one strict forum. I post something that I think may be of interest, and it gets locked up like a bad guy :(
Since I don't mountain bike, I don't frequent the forum you moved my post to. So, if I didn't see this someplace else I wouldn't have a chance to discuss it here with my fellow roadies?
Not sure I get it.

Mike, I just moved that thread into the General Discussion forum.
I see no point to have 4 threads on the same topic in 4 different forums, hence the lock & link to the big thread.

OK Joe, no big deal really, I just don't get it, but who said I have to... I guess my point is that if I only frequent the "Road Cycling" forum how would I ever see it?
What is the harm in having it on 4 differenet threads? The operative word being different.
No need to answer, more important things to think about, and it does take up bandwidth ;)
Mikedood-
The best thing you can possibly do is go to the "View New Posts" option at the top of the forum home page. There is a lot to this forum other than the one cycling interest you have, and seriously, it would be a shame for you to miss out on some really great subject matter. You don't have to be confined to one place- there is a lot of good stuff going on in here, so take advantage of it by perusing all parts of the forum (in my opinion, that is).
