Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

There's friggin Ethics in bicycle racing?
I thought those illusions were shattered in the seminal film 'Breaking Away' nearly 30 years ago.

Faux ethics, my friend. It's yet another vehicle of self torment.

Yeah, there's not enough torment in racing as it is.

Maybe ethics is a bit too strong a word. I would say that there are a lot of traditions.

I would prefer more stories about pumps in spokes. A CO2 cartridge in your spokes isn't the same. What do you use that for? What do you throw it at the annoying local kid who's trying to get in your elitist breakaway?
Times have changed, and not necessarily for the better.

I'm surprised you haven't answered this yourself -- you throw nothing. You crush his soul with your superior speed and strength.
If he's like you he'll be back frequently for repeated soul crushing...and voila! A new generation of PCad is born! ;)
