i have and use microsoft streets & trips. need a better one then that. preferebly one that has rec. trails as a part of it. but one that is more user friendly. streets & trips is more geared towards motor vehicles. and when planning riding routes it sometimes gets a little difficult, especially when i have to draw a line that shows the existing rec. trails. need one that not only covers streets & road ways but other routes as well. like rec. trails, etc.

i've seen the national geographic backroads. does anyone use it. how's it work for planning out routes that are not on a street or road way? does it have rec. trails as part of it?

any suggestions?
