Mountain Biking - Today's Winter Ride/Race! [Photos]

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Nice pics...I would love to have that amount of snow. I would still be riding :)...
Then again. I will never miss those Ontario cold spells...

Yikes... I thought I was tough riding my rollers in the garage last week when the temps dropped to -4F :)

Well, it was Sunny remember... ;) -4F, wow, that's tropical! We're in another cold snap right now, just intime for our next race next weekend. Oh well, at least there are not too many hikers to deal with!

Man thats cool! I have to ride alone out here when it gets that cold and snowy! I think it would be a gas to have SUB-ZERO MTB race to play in!
Hope you had fun!
That's rediculous. I think I'd stay inside under the blankets with my girlfriend drinking cocoa and watching TV. I thought 40 degrees on Sunday was almost too cold to ride.

Don't forget though, in the Ottawa Valley this time of year, -30 is warm.. I mean when it's -10, we're all driving around with our windows down and wearing jackets talking about how warm it is! ;)
Maybe we're just messed up... but oh well.. I'll post some shots from our next race soon. We have shovelled an ice-track on the frozen pond at Bruce Pit.. It will be who can do the most laps in the alloted time. Oh, and for this race, spikes are not an option like the others... they are a requirement!
