A new Pastor in a small town realized one day, his grass required cutting, and that he needed to buy a lawn mower.
So, he ventured out on his bike, to downtown to see if he could buy a lawnmower at the local hardware store.
On his way, he found a boy, sitting on the curb, with a lawnmower at his side, attached a signed indicating "For Sale".
The Pastor stopped and asked - "How much" for the mower, young man?"
The boy replied - "Fifteen bucks!, firm".
The Pastor - "Why are you selling this mower?"
The boy - "I'm saving to buy a bike", then glances at the bike the Pastor was riding, "One kinda like yours!"
The Pastor thought for a moment, the town is small, I will not need this bike.
The Pastor - "Instead of fifteen dollars for the mower, would you trade me the mower for my bike?"
The boy - "Sure mister, deal!"
Later that afternoon, the boy riding his bike, past the Pastor's house, and out front is the Pastor, slightly frustrated, and sweat stains on his white shirt, trying to start the mower with no success.
Seeing the boy, the Pastor stopped mid pull - "Is there a secret to starting this here mower?, I have it gassed, the oil is good, and cleaned the spark plug, still will not start!"
The boy - "It just needs a good cussing, then it will start."
The Pastor - " Young man!, I am the pastor of the church next door, and I don't cuss, besides, I have forgotten those filthy words, as I have been a man of God for a long time!"
The boy - "Oh!, don't worry, just keep pulling on that starter rope, and those words will come back to you.":D
