So we have a BIG family camping trip this weekend at Millerton Lake near Fresno. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to bring the bikes (road) to get in a ride. I'd also consider mountain biking too but the fiance doesn't have a mtb bike. The predominant activity seems to be boating but I did find that a triathlon is held here that leads me to think there is some cycling. Can anyone give any insight into the area?

Aggie,

The above link is a good one for rides in the Fresno area. Depends on what side of the lake you're camping on for your starts. Friant Rd. is very popular with local cyclists and goes right past Millerton Lake. From there, you can do 22 mile house (not very difficult) Spring Valley School (a little more difficult) or ride all the way to North Fork (hard). You can also go the other way, following Friant Rd. past the Table Mtn. casino out to Auberry Rd which will lead you to Prather, Humphreys Station, etc. There is also a mountain bike course on the back side of Millerton (Madera Co. side).
Enjoy the lake and the rides,

Huy, you could also just go ride the course for Climb to Kaiser; after which Cantelow will probably feel dead flat on the Pt II ride. :p

Have fun, whatever you decide to ride.
