Cross-post from NorCal forum:

So we have a BIG family camping trip this weekend at Millerton Lake near Fresno. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to bring the bikes (road) to get in a ride. I'd also consider mountain biking too but the fiance doesn't have a mtb bike. The predominant activity seems to be boating but I did find that a triathlon is held here that leads me to think there is some cycling. Can anyone give any insight into the area?

You can get over to Auberry road from Millerton and head towards Shaver or Huntington lake. Starts at the base of the foothills and goes up into the Sierras, doesn't get much better than that. Last weekend there was a road crew sweeping gravel at Humphries Station but I would imagine the road is clear by now. It was smokey from all the brush fires so you might want to take that into consideration.
