hi guys,
I think this is my first post in the folding sub forum, though not the first at the other subs.
a few days ago I was so tempted to buy (and eventually bought) a folding bike, that I thought was a dahon stowaway 20 inch wheels.
the judgement was entirely based upon my knowledge of the frame geometry.
but when I inspected closely, and browsed the net for some pictures, it became clear that it has some differences.
I would like to ask: was/were there actually imposter(s) or copies of early dahons?
sorry I can't provide pictures yet.
the main differences are:
on the bike that I bought, there is no extra diagonal bar from the bottom bracket to the upper hinges.
(on the dahon, there IS)
the seatstays starts from the seattube, whereas on the dahon pictures I examined, starts from the upper hinges.
please let me know, whether I own a copycat, or an earlier dahon than the one in pictures I saw..
