Road Cycling - Can anyone recommend Nashbar road tires?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Or any other house brand for that matter?
The nashbar line of tires include some with 60 tpi casing and kelvar beading. How bad can they be for $13 each?
I won't use them to race. I need them for high-speed touring and will sacrifice some weight for puncture protection. I never flatted on my last set of Conti's (3000 miles) which makes me think i should just go ahead and pay for Ultra 2000's, but I'm cheap.
Thoughts?

Considering that most Contis use a much higher thread count, they will feel like you are riding on bare rims in comparison. The big advantage of the high tpi count is the suppleness of the tire when going over small imperfections in the road, like the texture of the asphalt itself. The whole tire is more flexible and more comfortable. Pony up the bucks for tires that you know will feel good under you.

I've been using Nashbar Prima 2 Plus road tires for a couple of years now and have gotten good service out of them. They look good on the bike with the black sidewalls. The thing I really like is I rarely flat with them. The Kevlar belt definately helps in this area. By the way I get around 3000 miles on these tires. Not bad for a $9.95 price tag (on sale right now).
Take a chance and give them a try.
