Just wanted to give a good 2 month heads up for the Xtreme Wheels 100. http://xtremewheels100.blogspot.com/

Plenty of time to put some miles on your bike and plan on doing the magic century ride with some great folks! Labor Day is September 1st. If I remember correctly (ADD is a *****), the ride is ON Labor Day....maybe one of the days before it. In any case, I am planning on doing it. It's gonna be hilly and probably hot/humid, but what the hell! Can't wuss out on everything :roflmao2:

I think I may be taking the day and going on a long motorcycle ride, but if not, I will put it on my schedule. I want a century this year, and this might be the only way I will get one in. I have done metric centuries on my own, but I should probably do a supported century ride.

Kurt, since their web site is still 2007 information, do you know where they actually ride?

I am leaving on a 40 mile workout ride in a few minutes on the highway out of here going north. Not too hilly, but for the midwest it is probably considered hilly.

I rode my Kawasaki Voyager by there yesterday after taking the wife out to eat and they were closed. We were going to stop by and look at the shop and see what they stocked and to find out more about the century ride.

I still have 50 pounds to get off of my body, so July is going to be my restart of fat loss for 2008. I have sort of screwed up during my daughters softball season, as all we have done is gone to work and then drive to softball games or tournaments. I did a short 25 mile ride today into the wind both ways for some reason. A long way to go from the 100 hilly miles above.

Well, I am guessing they will do the same route as last year. I have a LONG way to go to get ready for it. I rode a FLAT 30 miler last week and felt awesome. Moving average was around 16mph and I really only stopped once to eat an energy bar. That was flat, and the XTR 100 is not. I know I can do it though :D

Flip, I do hope you plan on going. We have chatted on here ADV and FQ a bunch, live ridiculously close, and still have not met :wtf:
