After the first week of owning and riding a decent bike that fits, I have to say WOW! It almost feels addictive. Each day I set a route, and I find myself adding to it. Usually one of those "let's see where this goes" kind of journeys.
Since last friday I have a little over 60 miles under my belt. 47 of that in the last 3 days. Today being the most at 17 miles. I try not to avoid the inclines. I do have to stop from time to time to catch my breath or a drink, and there is a park in the next town that I stop for maybe 20 minutes to give my legs and butt a rest. I'm finally starting to get a hang of the shifting, and pedalling up hills sitting down.
I now kick myself for not doing this sooner, even though I have thought about biking for a few years now.
Now I wonder if I can talk my boss into giving me a long extended break each day to catch a morning ride :D
