Same to you, Lane, particularly since you ride a retro Nishiki. :)

The best Independence Day gift to one's self is a nice solo ride.

That's independence. Pcad rides alone.

Me being an Aussie makes me 'better' of course, so there's not too much I aspire to in the way of 'American'. But you mob most definitely did get one thing right! Independence Day.

You mob celebrate kicking the Poms OUT! Over here we celebrate the day they bloodywell INVADED the place!

My independent choice is to go on a MTB ride with my friends. Happy Independence Day to everyone.

I will be riding with my group. It looks like about 50 miles. BBQ and fireworks later. BUT the best part of the holiday is that I became a grandfather for the first time at 4:46 this morning. Keaton (after Buster) Thomas (either after me or the English Muffins). 9.14 lbs.

Same to you, Lane.

I'll be riding the Vandalia Freedom Tour this morning. It looks like rain in a couple hours so I'll be taking some rain gear with me.

Enjoy it while it lasts. I'd say that by 2025 (or sooner) we'll be a wholly owned subsidiary of China (they already hold half our national debt in the form of US Treasury Notes).

Now PCad.

We're trying to teach you proper manners and help you learn the 50+ dialect. I must say, for someone who believes himself to be brilliant, you're a remarkably slow learner.

You're not prophetic, nor the voice crying out in the wilderness. You're certainly not cute. What you are doing is emptying your sizable bladder into everyone's breakfast cereal.

I won't lapse atavistic on you and expound on the bravery, insight and total audacity of our Founding Fathers, which is, by the way, what we are celebrating today.

I'll put it in Roadie dialect, as that seems to be the only communication style you feel comfortable with: STFU!

I now return this thread to it's original program.
