Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Small problem with a pedistrian and deer caught in the headlights action.. Dude decided to all of sudden resume walking and bwammo. Knocked him down, and took me clean off the bike.
My bag took the blow pretty well.

Shot number two. Had doc patch me up, little Hydropoxide, some betadine, some @#$@# rubbing alcohol (sumbithgothdurnbathtard) and I'm back in action.
That sucked.
But the bike is ok. :D

At least the bike is in good shape ;)
As long as that's not your bag I won't be offended. Heal quickly!

Willy,
Looks like that hurt. Here's the post-crash X-ray so you do't feel all alone.

He was a BIG Effin Dude. My estimate (it was a little dark) 6 foot 4 325 pounds. Not much muscle. He said I knocked the wind out of him. I helped him look for his glasses. Once found, he shrugged and went on. I figure since the crossing thing was questionable, it was best to rotate the cranks in the away direction quickly.

I humbly bow at the altar of superior injury. Better you than me, but hey...
I'm pretty sore this morning, but nothing major that Flexoril can't handle. I'm banned from the bike for a week tho...

Nothing Perkies and ber can't fix, right? I wasn't trying to be a topper, just making a show of solidarity.
Just proof of that Schiek and a lantern battery make a less than lethal combination.
If you're looking for effective painkillers, I have a friend whose dad had a beer and a shot of whiskey while taking somekind of OTC cough syrup (I'll get the brand for you). He got all weird - they thought he had a stroke. At the hospital, he tested positive for PCP. Chalk one up for better living through chemistry.
Disclaimer - I'm not chemist. I'm just recounting the story as told to me. Anyhow, you guys are all computer nerds, right? No chemists here.

Shoot, I can't even get an avatar set up.
Actually, I am a chemist. That does not mean that I know the effect of mixing whiskey, cough syrup and painkillers...It actually takes a dumbass to figure that one out.

I wasn't advocating the cocktail - I was just surprised by the result.
And apologies to the chemist in the house.

I'm a chemist as well, but equally unsure of the unique properties of the cocktail.
When needing to provide a professional explaination of these types of things, I usually make some reference to voodoo.
