I like the mtb that have a standard rise but had the thick middle towards the neck...i should not have issues with my stock stem? Thanks for the help..

For tubes, you may find the existing tubes a little large, which can make it harder to keep from pinching the tube under the tire. I always put a new tube with a new tire anyway, the old one becomes a spare.....

I have a Trek 8000 MTB. Has the Bonti stem and bars. Bar is 1 inch (measured with calipers) which converts to 25.4 mm. Should be no problem. Plus the stem is a front laoder stem. Easy to deal with!:D
