Touring - Cumbrian Mountains

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm going to be riding in the Cumbrian Mountains (UK) this summer for my hols. It's probably worth asking if anybody has been there, and has any info on the area or recommendations for my route.
My planned route passes east along Ennerdale Water, north over Scarth Gap Pass, over Fleetwith to Honister Pass, and then east to Rosthwaite. After a good rest I'll be heading SE (ish) along the bridleway to Grasmere (passing Stonethwaite Fell, Greenup Edge etc).
Has anyone been?!
Thanks,

Are you from the UK ?
The Lake District has some great bike trails. There some good local guides to bike routes. An OS 50:000 map will show the legal bridleway paths.
The whole area is a tourist honey pot, so at peak times can get crowded, but there are large areas away from the crowds.
Hi, I live in Cumbria and can make a few more suggestions,
The Duddon valley is well worth a morning just ride up to the bottom of HardKnott pass even if you don't climb it (1:3 incline).
The traditional circuit of Coniston Water, cyclists have been doing it since penny farthing days.
THe area east of Coniston can be quiet even when the rest of the Lake District is crowded.(Grizedale Forest)
ASnother favourite of mine is the climb out of Kendal to Shap (for the ride down).
