hi, i have a $300 budget and is choosing between the citizen bike ($269) and downtube ($299).
Does anybody have experience in both or have any thoughts at all?
Thanks
I have tested both. Citizen bikes are $150 bikes that sell for $270, low cost but poor value.
Downtube bikes that sell for $300 are comparable to $400 bikes, excellent value.
I checked the Citizen website.
The weights they list for their bikes are unbelievable.
They will weight much more considering the materials and components.

The Downtube 8HN is a deal and a comparable bike would be over $600.

The 8HN is a steal at $299! All Downtubes are worth more than they sell for, imo; you won't be sorry if you get one, davoice.
