Greetings!:)
I have wanted a recumbent trike ever since I learned about their existence, probably about ten years ago. Now, my dream has finally come true!
My trike is a Sun EZ3 sx. There's a trail right behind my apartment building, although you have to go a couple of blocks in one of two directions to access it. No sweat. :recum: It's absolutely gorgeous here and I admit to being in seventh heaven. Just got the trike about two weeks ago and ride 2-3 hours nearly every day. Then I come home and peal off my clothes en route to the shower.
The reason I needed a trike is because of a lifelong balance disorder, so there are many athletic tasks I cannot perform, yet I love the outdoors and exercise. When I was younger, I learned to ski which really changed my life at the time. That's two poles to keep yourself upright.;) I did ride a bike as a kid, but time has taken it's toll.:( Anyhow, I love being able to look at the scenery while I'm riding. I'm setting goals so that I can get to the Mpls. lakes and am about halfway there. I'm up to 5-6 miles per day.
Maybe this is getting a little long, but I'm just so excited and happy that I can do this! I also love these forums, there's just a place for everyone! Also the friendliest greeting e-mail I've ever gotten.
So, thanks to all for being here!:)
