WEll I've been playing with my oldCenturion for awhile now.. I stripped off all the unnecessary parts... took the rear cluster off, and attched the spacers and the 17T cog on the hub along with the 11T lockring...
last night I had some alone with my dremel tool, and the old chainring bolts... ground them down to the right lenght, and attached the 44T chainring... I figure for now a 44/17 combo will work.. I'm bidding on an 16T freewheel on ebay now... no one bid against me ! :-)
I need to pick up some chain pins today at lunch to permanently attach the chain.. I jimmy'ed it on last night.. and the chainline looks pretty good...
I will probably do a major wash, polish, and wax on it this weekend... and hopefully take it out for a spin, and take some pics to post for you bike porn lovin Fixers ! :-)
