Bourbon?

Jim Beam is tasty. Have you tried the Jim Beam Black? The rye is also good.

I'll ask for a shot on my next camping trip. My brother is a bourbon fan and sips the Maker's Mark (uses the less expensive bourbons for mixed drinks).

He says that I spoil him by bringing single malt on camping trips. :rolleyes:;)

Aside from praising the pleasant surprise that is single malt scotch, I have to rave about Steinbeck for a bit.

A while back my housemate handed me a tattered paperback called The Moon is Down and said he thought I might like it. Being bored, I didn't even glance at the cover. I just started reading. A couple chapters in I was absolutely in awe of the polished writing style, lyrical advance through the story, and insightful plot. I was starting to marvel at who this mysterious author could be who was so outstanding.

To keep a short story short, a good 1/4 the way or so through the book I finally turned back to the front cover to discover it was no unknown talent, but Mr. Steinbeck himself.

The really odd part is my housemate normally doesn't read much other than Stephen King.
