Last week I decided that I was tired of getting passed up by the skinny guys on their $5000 bikes. So it was time to do some passing of my own. I passed up a couple on a tandem bike (I believe they had some team AARP gear on) and today I passed up 2 couples out on a holiday ride. I was enough to make me unzip my bike jersey and start pounding my chest! Watch out Mr. Beanz! LOL

hehehe that's always a great feeling. Nothing better than passing some guy with a $5000 cycle and full neoprene body coverings on your POS $500 40 pound mountain bike wearing sneakers and blue jeans heh

All I passed today was gas.

I passed a GAS station, at 138.5¢/L (about $5.33 per US Gallon  over $6.23 per real gallon ), was glad I was on the bike.....

I had a really good ride today on a paved trail. The one I usually ride on is crushed limestone. I came up on this skinny guy on a mountain bike. He was peddling away. At first I slowed down and tried not to pass him. I didn't want to embarrass him or get into something. Then I said, oh well and went for it. I used some of those "get the fat guy up the stairs muscles" and smoked him. I was surprised how quickly I was able to accelerate. I didn't ease up until I was doing about 28mph. I never looked back.

He caught up with me at the end of the trail while I was taking a drink. Said something like "wow you really blew me away back there". Felt good.

When did Boyscout's start selling brownies?

That may be the best fundraiser they've ever done.
