Is that legal? I mean if so, what is to stop F Schleck from waiting for Sastre, then helping him?
no its not legal
no its not legal
Actually, it is LEGAL. It may be against the rules of a TT, but it is certainly legal. :thumb:

Kohl just fell off the starters stand (pre-start). That can't be helpful to his cause.

That may mess with your rhythm.

Sastre to my eye, does not look fast.
Sastre to my eye, does not look fast.
He's got a relatively slow cadence which always looks slow. However, he very well may be slow also. :)

Go Sastre!
Sorry, Cadel, no wheel sucking today.

I don't seem to get why the VS. commentators don't understand negative splitting in TT's. They make such a huge deal about the first time check, but have never mentioned that concept which is pretty big in the TT world from my understanding...
evans keeps getting out of the saddle to push, like he can't get the speed he wants

I like the way you think, Justin! I'm going to have all my fingers and toes crossed for him! I mean, stranger things have happened, right?
That would be totally sweet if he did!
Btw, cyclingfans.com has a start time list up. Depending on where you live, 10am might be too late.

VdV is currently 3:52 up on Schleck after timecheck 2.

He was just joking about actual legality (like, laws, courts, judges, that sort of thing) versus just breaking the rules of a race. Was just a little quip about using the word "legal" in a game context.
Er, you probably caught that, but just explaining if you didn't. :)
Oh, and go go Sastre!!

Sastre is catching Schleck now acting as a carrot. I wonder if that was planned. I would not put it past them.

It was not planned. Neither gained an advantage, so why????????

Usually the sight of a rider in front of you helps to motivate to catch them.

How many riders who won on Alp de Huez went on to win the tour?
Sastre is among vaulted company now.
And seriously, if Vande Velde had not crashed on Bonette.........
evans just never looked to me like he was comfortable. he always looked like he was struggling, never got into a groove.

gotcha, schleck was busted shortly after my post, the should have thrown the cuffs on him and dragged him into the kangaroo court, i still want to see the results of that csc dope test conducted earlier this week, csc had a hell of a ride if they come up clean
And Evans is beaten by a Spanish climber for the 2nd year in a row. That must hurt.

The TdF is just great. To have a crack at winning you need to be a tasty time trialler, a strong climber, and be surrounded by a good team. (Much like that other great champion LA who apart from his own outstanding abilities had good lietenants around him in his teams)
Sastre and CSC rode well to their victory. Evans had no support from Silence-Lotto and the CSC foot soldiers worked him over. Tough for him, but classic winning tactics.
What it must be like to win the TdF and join those cycling greats in history forever.
I've loved this years' edition.
