i have a trek xo1 with 700x32 knobby tires on it and i'm curious about my options. i understand that i can switch out the 700x32 knobby for a slicker 700x32 tire but, is it possible to put, say 700x23 tires? or 700x20o on it?

I doubt that you could safely go to a 23 or narrower, but a 25 may work, and a 28 should definitely do the trick.
