How do you guys do in the sun? Couple of weekends in a tanktop and I'm now Mr. Tanner. I wear plenty of sunscreen but I still get dark! When I used to play ball and tournaments, I spent lots of time in the sun. Always a dark tan. My brother in law used to call me ''Dark and Lovely"!:D

I turn cherry red, regardless of sunscreen use. I cannot for the life of me tan at all, only thing that gets me close to darker is those spray on tans. However those spray-on tans make me look like an oompa-loompa (bright orange).

Honestly, the few days of rain that we are putting up with now is nothing to get that upset about. I would imagine that any of the people in the central United States that lost their homes to flooding a couple of weeks ago would have loved to just be dealing with what we are getting now verses what they got.

Consider yourself lucky. My kid colored a crayon picture of the sun with a smiley face on it, and I got a sunburn from it.

I'm the child of a mother whose skin is like porcelain and an olive-toned father. Unlike my poor mom, SPF 30-45 waterproof sunscreen will work for a good long time and I turn a very light gold. I never get any darker than that but I also never go out for more than 10 minutes without sunscreen. My brother is more like our dad and can get quite dark. Genetics are a funny thing.

Don't forget the hail. (We had marble sized hail up on Redmond Ridge.)

Funny that. My kids have the same parents, yet they're so different. Our oldest is golden pancake brown and the youngest is pale (like the first pancake off the grill).
