I've mapped out the route from my place to my college campus on bikely. What do you guys figure? Is this feasible for a novice biker? I mean I will eventually build up endurance for the 23 mile trip, however will the hills kick my ass? (check out the elevation profile).

It's all feasible.. :) I'd say take a day and test the route out see what you think and how you feel. Then go from there.

Yeah, just commit to it. Your body will adjust to the ride quicker than you think, and that's a good thing.

What's the worse possible scenario? You have to walk up a few hills for the first week maybe?
Start off doing it once per week, then move up to twice, then three times. Once you are doing a 46 mile round trip three times a week you are a pro.

Well, I will be starting this route next quarter (Starting Fall quarter) that gives me a couple months to build up some endurance for longer rides. Thanks for your suggestions guys.
If I was you, I would ride it as much as possible before you start doing it for real. Once you are familiar with a route, it seems to get easier...at least for me. I tick off landmarks and way points mentally that get me onto the next one.

Your choice but I've been through that area several times with the Orange County Wheelmen and I prefer Brea Canyon road myself.

You mean the Brea Canyon Cutoff to Valley?

Here's the revised route as per Ken's suggestion. I think it's a bit shorter and less "hilly".
